About Us
A Family Story Rooted in Love & Literacy
Cloverleaf K9 Connections started when our son wanted a job at 10 years old. That small beginning led us to raise two incredible breeds—Golden Retrievers and King Charles Cavaliers. With a background in education and a lifelong love of animals, Dana McConnell brings heart, knowledge, and care to every puppy raised.
We even name each litter after characters in children’s books—because every pup has a story, and every home deserves a great beginning.
Purposeful Breeding
DNA-tested parents, natural breeding cycles, and no shortcuts—just healthy pups and ethical, professional practices.
Lifelong Support
Personal guidance from day one to well beyond adoption. We love staying connected with our Cloverleaf families.
Testing
Health Testing Standards
Parent dogs are DNA-tested and complete breed-specific health screenings and compatibility is reviewed. If parents are clear before mating, puppies are considered clear by birth!
Full Health Paneling
A full Embark panel is completed, which includes genetic testing to reduce the risk of a wide variety of genetic diseases, like Progressive Retinal Atrophy and Von Willebrand’s Disease.
Patellar Luxation Screening
Reduces risk of passing down Patellar Luxation, where the kneecap can become displaced or dislocated and cause joint pain.
Hip & Elbow Evaluation
Golden Retrievers can be prone to hip and elbow issues, making them important to check when looking for your new furry friend.
Education
We are dedicated to being well educated about ethical and healthy breeding practices and have completed several certifications to expand our knowledge and ensure we are taking the best care of all of our pups.

Our puppies are matched thoughtfully with their future families. Each one is healthy, up to date on vaccinations, and is loved from day one. Status tags indicate if a puppy is still available, reserved, or adopted. Below are a few of our newest Cloverleaf pups!
